Welcome to the QLaw: The GLBT Bar Association of Washington website. QLaw: The GLBT Bar Association of Washington (“QLaw”) has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our commitment to privacy for our members.

Publication of Your Information for Membership Directories and Registration Lists. 

To allow other lawyers and the public to find you, the information we receive from you may be published on this website and other print or digital media, in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, directories, membership lists, and other types of registration lists for QLaw programs and events (“Directory Lists”). Directory Lists will not include sensitive information, such as credit card or bank information, or social security numbers.

Email Privacy and Member Contact Information.  

From time to time, QLaw sends broadcast email to its members.  QLaw’s members can always opt out of receiving broadcast emails or restricting the category of emails they receive by following the instructions found at the end of each broadcast email message.

External Links.  

QLaw’s website contains links to other external websites that we believe may be useful to its members and the public. QLaw is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these external websites.

Sharing Your Email Address. 

We do not sell or rent e-mail addresses to any third party.   Please understand, however, that your email address may be visible to other attorneys, others who have interest in the legal profession and QLaw events, as well as the general public through Directory Lists as set forth above.  QLaw may share your Email address with third parties to enable QLaw to take security measures to help protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of data.  Finally, QLaw may share Email addresses with third parties as necessary for QLaw to perform certain services on our behalf, such as packaging, mailing and delivering products and processing event registrations and to respond to your requests. 

Children. 

We do not knowingly collect personal data online from or market online to children under the age of 13.

User ID and Password. 

Certain areas of the website may require the use of a user login, email address, or password as an additional security measure that helps protect your information.
